Some of Adventure Camps Summer Camp activities:
Raft building It’s down to your team to design and build a raft using logs and barrels to cross a watery expanse. You'll need good planning and successful execution to avoid a wet end!
Low level and high level walks Explore the fantastic hills and mountains of mid Wales. Why not tackle the highest mountain in Mid Wales Cadair Idris! Practice and learn new navigational skills.
Orienteering Use orienteering maps to navigate to control points and gain the highest score. Learn new skills such as planning and cooperation, and map skills.
Geo Caching Use GPS to locate hidden tresure in and around mid Wales.
Sailing Learn to sail. Introductory sailing in Topper dinghies. (subject to numbers)
Climbing Experience the joys of climbing on the cliffs of Wales. Enjoy the trust and commandership of climbing with your peers. Learn to be safe and keep others safe. Feel a sense of achievement as you face a new challenge.
Body Boarding Enjoy nature at its best on the waves of Mid Wales’s sandy coastline. We have a new fleet of slick backed bodyboards, for excellent speed and control.
Nightline Lead you team blindfolded over a challanging course of obstacles.
Challenge days Your team will need to use each other's skills such leadership, cooperation and intelligence to negotiate tasks and navigate their way around gaining points and getting their team to a successful end.
Crabbing How many crabs can you catch? Pull up the kamikaze Aberdyfi crabs from the jetty. Race them to the sea down the slip way. Learn how to identify different crabs and learn about the wonders of crabs!!!
We can design a programme of full day and half day activities situated in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park.
Optional extras You can choose your programme to include days out to the various attractions that mid Wales has to offer, from exploring the deep mines, to experiencing the thrills of a high speed rib. Go back to Celtic times, or explore how we can minimise or impact on the environment.
High Ropes Challange This is availible in the Shropshire area only. Try your hand at getting as high as possible on crates! Jump off the parachute! Go to the top of a high trapeze pole to test your nerves. Experiance what it's like to sky dive. Find your way though an intergrate tunnel system. Phone for more details on this amazing ropes course.
Walking Challenges We can give you a route plan to follow, Arrange hostels or b&b's to stay in along the way, drop off your main bags and pick you up at the end to return to your car/train station etc. Cost for this option is dependent on time of year. Or we can guide you ourselves.
Sit on safaris Adventure camps have a fleet of single and double sit on kayaks for hire. These can be used to surf on the fantastic shores of Aberdyfi and Tywyn or paddle around the beautiful estuary. Alternatively, you can book onto an evening trip, with the tide to help, and explore the shallows of the upper estuary with an experienced guide.
Challenge days We can deliver challenge days where your teams compete using navigational and cognitive skills to find tokens and figure out problems in and around the valleys of Mid Wales, You will need to work to the best of the team’s abilities to get to the end!
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award We can help with skills required for the Duke of Edinburgh’s award as well as give local advice and help monitor your group’s routes.

Kayaking/ Canoeing Have a go at canoeing or kayaking on some of Wales's most beautiful estuaries.
Gorge walking Adventure at it’s best. Explore the natural course of the rivers in Mid Wales; slides and pools to go down and jump in! A really popular activity.
Abseiling Test your nerves of steel, by abseiling or rappelling down a cliff face.
Mountain biking Explore the hills in Mid Wales on mountain bikes. Experience the thrill of miles of great tracks, and down hill adventure, in the forests surrounding this area.
Pioneering Learn outdoor survival skills, such as knots and lashing. Use your imagination to create standing structures or camping equipment.
Initiative exercises Planning and organization are required to complete a range of tasks designed for your team to solve.
Shelter Building Learn how to build an emergency shelter in the Dovey forrests.
Survival Course Learn how to be self sufficient in the wilds. How to build a fire, cook safely and stay warm. Find food to eat and safe water to drink!!
Rock pools Explore the blue flag beaches of Mid Wales. Have an in depth look at the adaptations and survival tactics of rock pool creatures. Explore the different sections of the beach and learn about the ecological impacts we have on this fantastic environment.
